What is the max weight on the stack of weights?
There are two weight stacks, each holding 210 lbs (20 x 10lb plates plus the 10lb top plate). The leg press station has a 2:1 ratio resulting in up to 420 lbs resistance. Additional plates can be purchased in 2.5 or 5 lb increments and can be placed on top of the stack.

How does this machine ship do it come fully assembled or would I have to assemble it
Yes, you will have to assemble it, although you might be able to pay someone to do it for you. Assembly is really the only real negative with this machine. I did it by myself but it took a while and there are many parts. However, the unit is well worth it. I still use mine every other day and I’ve had it about eight years.

The leg press pulley only seems to connect to one stack (210lbs) not both stacks, so how does it do 420lbs resistance?
Ratio thru the pulley system is doubled, therefore 420lbs resistance.

Can two people work out at the same time using weight stacks?

Yes, there are 2 stacks. Just need to coordinate your stations so you’re not using same stack…..but there are plenty of exercises to enable you each to do the entire circuit while alternating with the different stacks. My wife and I do it all the time.

The picture shows a leg press addon, but it's not listed in the description. Does this come with any leg stuff, and if so, what types?
Yes, the leg press is standard. It also includes leg extension. You can also do leg curls (standing).

If someone is 5 ft tall is this machine too big for them to use?
Hi there! It will work for 5 ft user height – range 4’10” to 6’4″ is okay. Now on the shorter end of that it will always be a tad more of a stretch we’ll say, and of course there are always people not comfortable with it but it does have the adjustments to accommodate an average 5 ft tall user.

Absolutely not! I’m 5-6 and everything works great. In fact, some of the things like a back row will work better for you. The only thing you would have a problem with is the lat pulldown. But the machine comes with a chain that you can connect to the top and you will be just fine. I have had for almost a year and use it almost daily. A great machine, rivals the best in the gyms

How do you know how much weight you are lifting on weight stacks on emx 3000
When using each of the stations except the “leg press”, the weight lifted is simply the weight selected on the weight stack. Each plate weighs 10 pounds and each of the 2 weight stacks should have 210 pounds each. The biomechanics of the “leg press” station converts the weight you select by a 2:1 ratio. That is, the “leg press” station weight is actually twice the weight you select. That means the “leg press” station can be used up to a weight of 420 pounds if you select the maximum weight of 210 pounds on the weight stack.

Each plate is labeled in 10 lb increments. The leg press stack is double what you select because of the pulley system.

Can the floor low row station be installed on the opposite side (leg) that it’s attached to, like behind the leg press? Can the pully be flipped?
I just double checked and yes you can. The bottom pulley is a swivel. You can install it facing the opposite direction as long as you adjust the pulley next to it at the same time. The leg frame for the low row station can be installed on the other side of the leg so that it is facing the leg press side of the machine.

Are the roller pads on the leg lift beefy enough to protect your bones? And is the lack of a butterfly press a big negative?
The roller pads are sufficient, though not industrial strength (they won’t take a lot of abuse – you can order replacements if they wear out). There is a pec fly station that is quite good – and a good sitting chest press station on the other end. No negatives about the machine at all. The perfect home gym.

Does the leg press need to be attached or can it be detached?
The leg press is a permanent feature. It has to be installed with all the other stations for the whole thing to work.

Does this product come with any "accessories" to attach to the pulleys; like handles or bars for doing arm exercises?
It comes with a padded ankle cuff and a straight bar for bicep curls and ab crunches at the pec fly station.

"I love this thing. Instructions to build are more like exploded diagrams and are hard to follow, but it’s no biggie. It took a friend and I about 9 hours to build. The only minor disappointment I have is the stacks cannot be increased. Other than that, this machine is frickin’ awesome. The build quality is great. Looks and feels like gym quality except a few minor range of motion kinda things that are normal in multifunction gym machines. I’ve bought a number of strength training products and this thing is the best of em’."

"Solid and built with no compromises! This Gym is the real deal! Some have complained about the instructions, but I think they were sufficient with diagrams that show how it all goes together. A picture is worth a thousand words, and if you tried to explain how to put this size of a project together by worded instructions, you would definitely confuse some people. The diagrams are simple and you need to study them carefully while assembling the gym. My wife was telling me to hire someone, but I'm glad I didn't. You will have a much better understanding of this gym if you do it yourself. Item' s not too hard, but it is a big project. So you need to take your time and work carefully and not expect to put it together in an hour or two. Overall, we are loving the EXM3000 gym."
