Kettler
KettlerAmerica isn’t the only place that incredibly successful fitness-based companies start-up from scratch and then skyrocket into titans of the exercise industry. Back in 1949, a handful of years after the end of WW2, in a small German town called Ense-Parsit, a man by the name of Heinz Kettler founded his company in an attic with a mere six employees by his side. …Read More
In the beginning his team produced simple aluminum goods and cooking items for a post-war country. But, just a hair over a decade later the first “Kettcar” rolled out in 1960.
From those astoundingly humble beginnings Kettler Inc. went from a small crew of survivors to an internationally recognized brand that manufactures high quality products. They are currently sold in 60 nations including of course the U.S. as well as South America, Central America, and Canada.
Kettler Products
Kettler is why there is a big difference in consumers’ minds when they see “Made in Germany,” versus “Made in China.” From day one Kettler has been producing kids toys, but these days they’re also known for amazing sports training equipment (cardio machines, accessories, table tennis), stylish and sleek leisure/kids furniture made of many different types of material, and impressive technologically advanced forms of bikes (both stationary and outdoor).
It’s been a little over 40 years since Kettler became a well-known name brand, and in that time their products have been a part so many wonderful things. For example, Kettler’s ping pong tables are standard issue in the Olympics, which started in the 1996 Atlanta games.
At the end of the day though, their engineering feats and expertise are really on display with their bikes and 21st century cardio equipment. From e-bikes and treadmills, to trekking bikes like the Traveler 9.3 Ergo and Cross trainers Kettler is definitely top of the line.
Kettler Vision & Philosophy
When people buy Kettler products they know they’re getting supreme value. From start to finish everything is constructed using modern methods under serious and stringent quality control methods. Furthermore, the technological performance simply cannot be matched, especially when people consider that Kettler products are made with environmentally safe materials!
Today, the “Heinz Kettler Special” is still setting standards in the tricycle industry. Why? Because their trikes are far above and beyond the norm. More recently, in 2004, Kettler’s upscale trikes started to be targeted by thieves; imagine that! It got to the point where the Wall Street Journal wrote about it, which only added to the already momentous sales numbers.
The company is run by Kettler’s granddaughter, Dr. Karin Kettler, and she continues to stand true to the original founding principles. Moving forward the company expects to continue growing not only it’s repertoire of specialty products, but its global audience and community as well.
